That is not an issue with AutoSPInstaller. It is an issue with SharePoint 2013 April CU requiring March 2013 Public Update to be applied first.

Does this mean that slipstreamed backups will not be installed any longer?
I used AutoSPResourceBuilder to create a slipstreamed media source directory with March 2013 PU and April 2013 CU but the updates have not been installed.

I have now placed the update packages into the folder ..\SP\2013\Updates and run the AutoSPInstaller again. Now the updates are being installed.

It is incredible how smooth a clean SP2013 installation is running now.
