Looking for what others have experienced, I'm having issues with the script remotely starting the March 2013 PU, at this line:
Start-Process -FilePath "$bits\$spYear\Updates\$marchPublicUpdate" -ArgumentList "/passive /norestart"
The process never starts, on the remote server there is no ubserv<etc>.exe process - basically ASPI is frozen waiting for this to start (left it overnight). The preceding line is $starttime = Get-Date, which does successfully complete.
Anyone run into this or know how to get past this? Even manually installing the update doesn't work, since the process isn't kicked off the update package cannot tell us that the update is already installed. I'd have to comment out that block but don't want to do that just yet.
