This is due to PowerShell not having the parameter -version 2.0 in the .bat file, which if added to the .bat file would results in other errors pertaining to IIS and Administration modules.
The particular error occur during the creation of the Config database and it is:
Microsoft SharePoint is not supported with version 4.0.xxxxx.xxxxx of the Microsoft .Net Runtime.
The same errors that are thrown in the AutoSPInstaller does not occur with "SharePoint Management Shell" or with the Configuration Wizard.
